Freya is a curious, independent explorer who arrived at SDHRS on January 1, 2025, after being transferred from an Orange County shelter. Shy at first, she warms up with patience and a gentle approach, often showing trust by leaning in for pets or offering a soft nudge. While she prefers not to be picked up, Freya loves staying busy—rearranging her space, exploring tunnels, and enjoying enrichment that keeps her mind engaged. She would thrive in a home that offers variety and room to explore. Freya is spayed (date unknown), had one dental trim upon intake with no ongoing concerns, and will need routine handling to ensure cleanliness; she also has an oral lesion that tested positive for MRSA. With understanding and thoughtful care, Freya will make a delightful and engaging companion.
