Bunnyfest Vendor FAQs

Any vendor inquiries can be sent to bunnyfest@sandiegorabbits.org.

  • Vendor space is limited. Applications should be submitted by Sunday, August 16, 2026, for consideration. Please note that booths may fill before the deadline, so early applications are strongly encouraged.

  • No. Booth spaces are for one business only. Vendors may not share booths or sell items for another business, especially if they operate under a different California Seller’s Permit. Each vendor must apply and be approved separately.

  • Standard booth spaces are 10x10. All products, displays, and equipment must fit entirely within your assigned space.


    If you require additional space, you may request a 20x20 booth for an additional fee. Larger spaces are limited and not guaranteed.

  • Permit requirements depend on what you sell:

    • Vendors selling tangible goods (merchandise, crafts, or food) must have a current California Seller’s Permit.

    • Vendors selling pre-packaged food must have a valid Cottage Food License.

    • Vendors preparing food or beverages onsite must provide:

      • A Temporary Food Facility (TFF) Permit or Mobile Food Facility Permit (for food trucks)

      • Food handler or food safety manager certification

      • Proof of insurance

  • Samples are only permitted if they are pre-packaged and sealed before the event. Onsite sampling or food preparation for sampling is not allowed.

  • Yes. Vendors are fully responsible for collecting, reporting, and filing all applicable sales taxes from their transactions.

  • Yes. All vendors must donate one item or group of items to the Bunnyfest Silent Auction with a minimum value of $40.

    Donated items are non-returnable.

    • Setup: 8:00 am – 9:45 am

    • Booths must be fully set up and ready by 10:00 am

    • Event ends: 3:00 pm

    • Early breakdowns are not permitted and may impact future participation

  • Vendors must leave their booth area as clean as it was upon arrival. Trash bins will be available onsite.

  • No. The City of San Diego does not allow ground stakes at Liberty Station.

  • Vendors are responsible for bringing:

    • Canopy

    • Tables and chairs

    • Table linens

    • Weights

    • Displays

    • Any materials needed to conduct business

  • Yes. Vendors may rent tents, tables, and/or chairs through SDHRS for an additional fee.


    Rented items will be delivered the morning of Bunnyfest and picked up after the event. Vendors will be responsible for reimbursement if items are damaged.

  • Electricity is not guaranteed and will only be provided with prior arrangements approved by SDHRS.

  • No. Per Liberty Station permit requirements, all literature and promotional materials must remain inside your booth space.

  • No animals are permitted onsite without prior written approval from SDHRS.

    • Vendors may not bring rabbits for adoption promotion

    • No vendor or rescue group may bring animals without permission due to venue permit restrictions

  • Yes. Bunnyfest is a cruelty-free event. Vendors may not:

    • Sell items made from fur, leather, or animal by-products

    • Promote rabbits as outdoor pets or anything other than indoor family companions

  • SDHRS will make every effort to limit similar vendors, but exclusivity is not guaranteed. Categories will be managed to ensure a diverse vendor mix.

  • No. Vendors participate at their own risk and are responsible for the security of their own goods and equipment.

  • Vendor fees are non-refundable unless your application is denied.


    If denied, all fees paid will be refunded. Silent auction donations will not be returned.

  • Yes. SDHRS reserves the right to reject any vendor application due to space limitations or other considerations.

  • All vendors must agree to indemnify and hold harmless the San Diego House Rabbit Society, its representatives, and the City of San Diego from any claims, damages, or losses related to vendor participation.
